Here's our complete walkthrough hub, featuring a guide for every Chapter in Black Myth: Wukong.
Black Myth: Wukong is Game Science's action RPG built on the mythology of the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West. You play as the Destined One — a nameless monkey warrior tasked with recovering six relics, each holding a fragment of the legendary Sun Wukong. What follows is six chapters of boss fights, hidden areas, optional quests, and some of the most visually striking environments in any game released this decade. The main story takes around 25–30 hours to complete. A full playthrough — every boss, every secret, every questline — pushes well beyond 60.
This hub links to our walkthrough for every chapter, along with the most useful guides for each. Click the chapter you need to jump straight to it.
Chapter 1 — Black Wind Mountain
Chapter 1 is titled Black Cloud, Red Fire and takes place across Black Wind Mountain — the game's most linear chapter and the one that teaches you everything. You'll start in the Forest of Wolves, work your way through the Bamboo Grove, and eventually climb to the peak to face Black Bear Guai. Along the way there's a secret area locked behind three hidden bells that most players miss on their first run.

The frozen wilds of the New West sprawl across multiple zones, from the Pagoda Realm to Yellowbrow's enormous temple complex. This is also where you unlock the ability to upgrade your gear, making it the point where your build really starts to take shape.

Chapter 4 is titled Rosy Cheeks, Gray Hair and takes you into the Webbed Hollow — a deeply unsettling place crawling with insect Yaoguai and four spider sisters whose story is arguably the most affecting in the entire game. The area itself is compact compared to Chapter 3, but the boss density is high. Yellow Loong and the Scorpionlord are two of the most challenging fights in the game, and both live here.

Chapter 5 is titled Golden Child, Crimson Blood and puts you in the Flaming Mountains — a chapter that burns in every sense. Sentient fire carts roam the paths, the landscape is in permanent flame, and the story digs into the tragic family of the Bull King with more emotional weight than most of what came before. The chapter is mostly linear but hides some of the game's most memorable encounters, and its final boss is one of the best in the whole game.

Chapter 6 is titled Unfinished Destiny and brings the Destined One home to Mount Huaguo — the birthplace of Sun Wukong. It's the shortest chapter in the game but the most climactic, featuring a free-roam open area, a gauntlet of mandatory boss fights for Sun Wukong's complete armor set, and the long-awaited rematch with Erlang Shen. Completing every requirement here unlocks the game's true ending — something most players miss on their first run.
